Having used a Windows® based machine for many years and throughout my teaching career, I became frustrated by the constant need to upgrade the computer and its software inevitably resulting in a shutdown and loss of data so I decided to investigate rPis. Having done so, I would never go back.

I have now used various versions of rPi to host my weather station software, currently using an rPi v3 for may Davis station and an rPi v4 for development all remotely accessed from my main computer.
